Great flavor

Stellar spice mix, I’m using it mostly with chicken and it turns my cooking into great middle eastern local dishes. Also tried their meat shwarma recipe was amazing.

This shawarma seasoning is fantastic. It has a rich, well balanced spice profile with warmth and depth but nothing overpowering. It instantly gives food that classic shawarma flavour and works great on vegetables, tofu, or meat. Super easy to use and makes everyday meals feel more special.

Adds a lot of flavor, but this blend is very cumin-heavy—it’s absolutely the star of the show. If you love cumin, you’ll probably be thrilled; if you’re expecting a more balanced or subtle shawarma profile, this might catch you off guard. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but I do like the overall flavor and how bold it is. A little goes a long way, especially on chicken or beef. I’ll keep using it and will update this review if my opinion changes over time.

I picked up this Turkish style shawarma seasoning because I am always skeptical of spice blends that promise authentic flavor. A lot of them end up tasting flat or overly salty, but this one surprised me right away. Just opening the container, the aroma stood out. There is a warm roasted smell that immediately reminded me of shawarma from small local spots rather than something mass produced. It smells layered instead of sharp, which made me feel more confident before even cooking with it.The flavor holds up once you use it. I tested a small amount first and the roasted notes really come through. It does not taste raw or dusty like some spice mixes do. There is a nice balance between savory and warm spices, with no single flavor overpowering the others. It tastes well blended, like the spices were actually thought through instead of just thrown together. Salt is present but not excessive, which I appreciate because it gives you more control over seasoning your food.I have not cooked a full meal with it yet, but even sampling it gave me a clear idea of how it will work. I am especially looking forward to using it on chicken. It feels like the kind of seasoning that will shine when it has time to cook and caramelize a bit, especially if used with oil or yogurt as a marinade. The roasted flavor makes me think it will do well on the grill or in a hot pan where the spices can really bloom. What I like most is that it tastes authentic without trying too hard. It does not lean sweet, and it does not rely on heat to create interest. Instead, it has that comforting savory depth you expect from shawarma. I can easily see this working not just on chicken, but also on lamb, beef, or even roasted vegetables. It feels versatile without losing its identity. The texture of the seasoning is good as well. It is not overly fine, which helps it cling to meat instead of disappearing. You can see the different spices, which adds to the impression that this is a thoughtfully made blend. A little goes a long way, so I do not think the jar will disappear too quickly unless you are using it constantly. This is the kind of seasoning that makes you want to plan meals around it. I already have ideas for wraps, rice bowls, and simple weeknight chicken dishes. It delivers on flavor in a way that feels genuine, and that alone makes it worth keeping on hand. I am genuinely excited to cook with it more, which is not something I say often about spice blends.
