Ingredients

What You’ll Need (Serves 4):

For the Kebabs:

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef (85% lean works best)
  • 1 large red pepper, very finely diced
  • 1.5 tsp Cybele’s Harvest Aleppo Pepper (Hot or Medium)
  • 1 tsp Cybele’s Harvest Urfa Biber
  • 1.5 tsp salt

For the Grilled Vegetables:

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 green peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Herby Yogurt Sauce:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp Cybele’s Harvest Mediterranean Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp crumbled feta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

For Serving:

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • Extra parsley for garnish

How to Make It

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Meat Mixture
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, finely diced red pepper, Aleppo Pepper, Urfa Biber, salt. Mix gently until evenly combined.

Shape the Kebabs
Lightly wet your hands and shape the mixture into a long flattened meat shape on a parchment-lined sheet pan. Score the flattened meat mixture to give it long and thin kebab shape (2-3 inches wide).

Prepare the Vegetables
Place the tomatoes and green peppers on the sheet pan alongside the kebabs. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Place the sheet pan in a 425 F temperature oven and cook for 15 minutes. Finish under oven’s broil mode until nice and brown.

Prepare the Herby Yogurt Sauce
In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, Mediterranean Seasoning, parsley, garlic, feta, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Rest and Serve
Let the kebabs rest for a few minutes. Serve with grilled tomatoes and peppers, fluffy rice, and a generous spoonful of the herby yogurt sauce.

Why This Recipe Works

What Makes It Special?

  • Aleppo + Urfa Duo: Aleppo Pepper adds fruity warmth while Urfa Biber contributes deep smoky richness.
  • Authentic Texture: Finely diced red peppers add moisture and flavor while keeping the kebab tender.
  • Sheet Pan Simplicity: The broiler recreates the char of traditional Adana kebabs without needing a grill.
  • Balanced Plate: Herby yogurt sauce and grilled vegetables balance the richness of the meat.
