Aleppo Pepper

Smell very fresh and it has a little cute scoop. My only concern is that once you open it the lead is not tied enough to keep it fresh. Otherwise the pepper flakes are great. Great for food and some cocktails as well .

These are by far the best aleppo chili flakes I have tasted. Freshness and the aroma is unlike any other. Its medium heat as described but also have a lot other things going on, its fruity and deep. I use it to season my eggs every morning now, it's also great on marinades. I would 100% recommend this, great value for the price!

This is a 2.8 oz canister of Aleppo-style pepper chili flakes, from Cybele's Harvest. It arrived fresh and factory sealed. Included with this, resting on top of the foil seal under the lid, is a cute little wooden spice spoon. Opening the foil seal, inside the canister are beautiful, vibrant red chili flakes. They have the fruity aroma of Aleppo pepper. The flavor starts out sweet and fruity and then builds to a medium level of heat. These are very good quality chili flakes with an excellent complex flavor. It should be noted that these are Aleppo-style, because the peppers in this product are grown in Turkey rather than Aleppo, Syria, but that is the norm these days, and they are as close as you can get now. Because of the high quality of these chili flakes, and because of the really beautiful presentation with the attractive canister and the little wood spoon, this would make an outstanding gift for the foodie in your life. At the current price of $9.99, I think this is a good value.

Best tasty Chili Flakes I have ever tasted. Smells spicy. Super Fresh. Color is spicy dark red. Quality is amazing. Whenever I cook I add this Aleppo Pepper Chili Flakes all the time.

This product is perfect for using yourself, or for gifting to someone else. The pepper was fresh, tasted great, and had a shelf life of about a year (ordered 1/2026, best by 1/2027). I sprinkled some on pizza dough and felt that it gave a pleasant mild heat to my pizza. I was very happy with this product and felt that it was a fair value for $11; it would make a great gift as-is. I would order this pepper again!

Been using these for a few weeks now and I genuinely enjoy the flavor they add to food. The heat is exactly what I was hoping for, present but not overwhelming, you know. I toss them on eggs, pasta, roasted veggies, pretty much anything savory at this point. The only thing is the flakes are a bit larger than I expected and I kind of wish they were ground finer. Sometimes they don't distribute as evenly as I'd like unless I crush them between my fingers first. My sister noticed them on my counter and asked about them so I guess the jar looks nice too. Overall really happy with the purchase, just be prepared to do a little extra work if you want them smaller. I find the quality of the seal to be perfectly fine.

These aleppo pepper flakes have zing! They have a rich earthy taste that is a bit tangy and quickly produces a lingering heat if you do a taste test with just a few flakes. The heat and taste is diluted when used in cooked dishes but still provides a depth of flavor and mild heat. It can be used as a sprinkle on many dishes, such as eggs, pasta, salads and meats. The texture is more grainy than actual flakes and that is perhaps from the addition of vegetable oil to the ground aleppo peppers. We are happy to have this pepper choice in our collection of seasonings. The only slight disappointment is that the container is not airtight once you remove the foil seal so you may wish to transfer the spice to an airtight container to preserve the freshness.

Great flavor, not a lot of heat. A Scoville rating of 1,000–5,000 Scoville Heat Units. Much less heat than jalapenos. I tried some on a Spanish omelet this morning and it was great. Spicy enough to tell it is a pepper and a heat that sneaks up on you. Much like a Habanero but much, much milder. It will go well in a lot of the Mexican dishes we like. I can taste it and my wife won't think it too hot to eat.It comes in a nice container sealed with a pull off top. Like a coffee tin. The contents were uniformly ground and seemed very fresh. It even comes with a tiny measuring (1/4 tsp?) spoon. I personally prefer a spicery pepper, but this may be a good compromise with my low Scoville preferring wife.In short yes, I'll get this again.

I absolutely love this hot spice! It’s such high quality, has the perfect kick and adds so much flavor to everything I use it on. The little wooden spoon it comes with is such a thoughtful touch and makes it even more special. I also love that it comes in two levels of hot to choose from!

I could smell the freshness as soon as I opened up the seal. The wooden spoon was also a great surprise! Best mild aleppo pepper on Amazon! I have tried them all, and this one is the very best! Reminds me of the good top shelf stuff I used to get imported! The heat is mild, mostly flavor just barely any heat, as it should be! The flavor is wonderful, rich, fruity, bright, intense, and addictively yummy!
